SIDExSIDE Social Media Planner

A free, public web application for scheduling and publishing your own social media content. It runs at smp.sxsmedia.dev.

Operated by SIDExSIDE Media Development, a division of Dub Works LLC

What it does

The SIDExSIDE Social Media Planner (the "Planner") solves one problem: publishing the same piece of content to several social platforms, at a chosen time, without sitting at a computer to do it by hand.

A person using the Planner can:

  • create an account and sign in;
  • connect their own social media accounts, authorizing each one through that platform's official login screen;
  • upload a video or an image and write a caption for it;
  • schedule that post for a chosen date and time;
  • have the Planner upload and publish it automatically, at that time, to the accounts they connected;
  • read back how that post performed.

It supports YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Discord. It is a self-hosted instance of the open-source project Postiz, running on infrastructure operated by Dub Works LLC.

The Planner is free and open to the public. Registration is open at smp.sxsmedia.dev. Anyone may create an account. There is no fee and no paid tier, and using it does not make you a client of SIDExSIDE Media Development.

Why it exists

SIDExSIDE Media Development is a social media talent development and management company. The Planner is the tooling we use to run publishing for the creators we represent. Operating it for other people costs us very little, so we offer it to the public at no charge rather than keeping it to ourselves.

We use it in our own workspace, on the same terms as everyone else, with no privileged view of anyone else's.

Whose accounts, and whose data

You connect social media accounts that you own, or that you are authorized to manage on behalf of their owner. Every account on the Planner gets its own separate workspace. A workspace can only see its own connected channels, its own uploaded media, and its own posts. Users cannot see one another's data.

Authorization always happens on the destination platform's own login screen. We never ask for, receive, or store your password for any social media platform. You can disconnect a channel from inside the Planner at any time, and you can revoke our access from the platform's own settings at any time, without involving us.

How the Planner uses Google user data

When you connect a YouTube channel, the Planner asks Google for permission to act on that channel on your behalf. It uses what Google returns for exactly three things:

  • Identifying the channel you connected, so the Planner can show you which channel a post will go to, and tell your channels apart if you connect more than one. This is where your Google account name, email address, and channel avatar are used.
  • Uploading and publishing the video you scheduled to that channel, at the time you chose, with the title, description, and privacy setting you entered.
  • Reading back the performance figures of the content the Planner published, so you can see how a post did without leaving the app.

The Planner's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Concretely, Google user data is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train machine learning or AI models, and not transferred to anyone else except as needed to provide the service or to comply with the law. Access tokens are stored on our server and are removed when you disconnect the channel, revoke access at Google, or delete your account. Uploaded media is deleted automatically on a rolling schedule after publication.

The Planner uses YouTube API Services. Connecting a YouTube channel also means agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's own handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke the Planner's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
